Just say JESUS


I’ve had some weird experiences in my life. Some bad, some good. Some just completely indescribable.

Dropping everything on Independence Day with my family of 7 and going on this completely unscripted journey, totally dependent upon the Holy Spirit’s guidance was by far the strangest.

I mentioned in a previous blog of mine titled Searching for a Home that we met some new friends along the way.

One of them contacted me yesterday morning through Facebook Messenger. Out of the blue, for me. Divinely orchestrated by our Father in Heaven. The message was:

“Hello Lindsey, I am making some big changes in my life, through Christ all things are possible. I’m reaching out to my Fathers family for prayer. Thank you Jesus in your name I pray, Amen.”

I was so excited to get this message.

She’s been in my thoughts and prayers. Although I wonder what the details are, the most important element is there. JESUS!

One evening in Benbow, CA we were talking about our experiences as of recently. Needing change, we all just sort of took off. With faith to guide us. Not completely engaged in the conversation, as I flitted around cleaning up the remnants of a delicious dinner, I remember her saying something about the “blue water”, to which I asked,

“Are you the blue water girl?”

She asked what I meant. I explained a dream I had where I was crawling under the pews in a church filled full of a musical circus, with circus performers tumbling down the aisles, and I was whispering a message about blue water. She asked what the message was. I replied,

“The message is always the same, no matter who I talk to. 

The message is JESUS.”

It’s all I could think of.

That’s all that needed to be said. He IS the message. He is the way, the truth, and the light.

Whenever I feel overwhelmed and I don’t know what to do or say, I sing this song in my head, and remember that there is power in the name of Jesus!

Truly, I tell you from experience that this works. It seems too simple, I know….but just cry out “JESUS” the next time you don’t know what to do or say. Then trust that He knows best, and no matter what circumstances you are in, He will deliver you when the time is right.

Jesus is our rock, he puts our feet on solid ground. So when you don’t know what to say,




It’s a New Year and with it come billions of New Year resolutions all over the world.  People planning to lose weight, workout more, eat less, drink less, spend less money, save more money, etc.

My New Year’s resolutions are to listen more intently, read more (especially my BIBLE), and write more.  With the writing comes great responsibility, one I’m not sure I’m ready for. Although I love a good quote or two from Eleanor Roosevelt, who said:

“You must do the things you think you cannot do.”
  Along with,
Do one thing every day that scares you.”

It’s that whole “Boasting in our Weakness” thing I wrote about in a previous blog. Not by my strength but His alone.

I really wish I would have paid more attention in school, but I had one thing on my mind during high school….. ♬ ♪ MUSIC!♫ Nothing else mattered.  I was going to be a famous singer someday.

“What happened, Lindsey?”

Well, then I met my husband and all of a sudden a person meant more than any of my dreams of being a star. Over the years we grew together, from little babies only 18 & 19 years old when we first got married, to our current salt and pepper states at 41 & 43 (he had a birthday not too long ago, this is my window of gloating 2 years younger, instead of just 1 year.)

We have seen each other through a lot.

We made five humans together to share this earth with, and that changed everything also.  Now we have five kids occupying our thoughts. Five people we’re responsible for protecting, and we take our parental roles very seriously.

I know first hand how a difficult childhood can hurt a person so deep that their entire life is effected. I know how quickly innocence can be stripped and pain can leave one crippled inside, and yet the surface hides the scars so well that you begin questioning those once so lucid memories you worked so hard to push down and forget. I never want my kids to feel unprotected or vulnerable to predators. In fact I don’t want my kids to ever associate in any way, shape or form with a predator.

Unfortunately I can’t protect them forever and from everything.  They will meet predators.  They will be put in uncomfortable situations, and there will be times they will have to stand up to others in defense. They’ll have to make tough decisions. They’ll be confused and feel lost or alone sometimes. There will be times my super mommy powers won’t be able to kiss the boo-boo and make it feel better. Times they’ll have to ignore the pain and push through proving themselves to themselves.

What I can do is commend them for their good decisions, and correct them when necessary.  Teach them that we are all God’s children and He loves us all the same regardless of who we are. Always follow the teachings of Jesus, remembering what He says about the greatest commandments.

Matthew 22: 36-40

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

 Jesus replied: 

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”


 I can teach them LOVE!

It’s a little messy, but it’s still beautiful!

I can teach them how to care for themselves inside and out. I can ensure that their time is spent with people who are just as interested in protecting and preserving their innocence as I am.  I can teach them about truth, and how to spot the truth vs. lies. I can talk to them. Spend time with them. Ask them questions and answer any questions they have.

Some parents spend so much time caught up in lies of the world that the truths get buried and children don’t know what to believe. Lying to our kids for how long about Santa Claus, hoping they don’t find out, knowing eventually they will, it kind of feels like we’re setting ourselves up for failure there.  Our children trust us to be honest with them. Yet, we justify lying about a person who supposedly visits every home in the world on Christmas Eve with a list and toys for the good kids only.  How ridiculous is that?

We should be honest with our kids.  Transparent. Truthful. Teach them what we wish someone would have taught us when we were their age.  Treat them the way we wish we’d been treated. Teach them how to stand up for themselves without putting other people down to do it. We should share love and compassion with them. Give them space to grow and support to be individuals with self esteem who can stand up for justice.

you have an obligation to be one”.

Teach them to love themselves for all that they are. Remind them that we all fall, but it’s not about how many times we fall, it’s how many times we get back up that matters. No one’s going to win the race by sitting it out.

So, I have my ME TOO stories that many other women, and some men have as well.  This year instead of focusing on the pain of my past, I’ll put my efforts into protecting the futures of my kids.  I’ll pray constantly and do everything in my power to keep my children from ever having to say, “Me too.”

I’ll forgive myself, as I forgive others, and I’ll run the race I’ve been given. Thankful to be right here, right now.

Boasting in our weaknesses


“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9

Finally, I know I’m not “crazy”. There are plenty of people who would probably say I’m still crazy, and maybe they’re right. I don’t think so, but that’s just what a crazy person would say. Whatever. We’re all crazy in our own ways. However, this pain I’ve been suffering with since February of 2016, which continues to increase in intensity and frequency is not something I’ve conjured. It’s a true medical condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia.

I’ve had 5 kids. The first of which I endured an almost 30 hour labor. I was so exhausted I almost didn’t have the natural birth I’d planned. At 19 hours, I needed rest. I accepted the epidural, and my labor stopped dead in it’s tracks. They let me sleep for a few hours and then it was time to get that baby out of me. So, we turned the epidural off and they pumped me full of pitocin and the rush of pain that hit me was so intense I was swearing in German. I don’t even speak German. (I’ve seen Die Hard enough times to know some cuss words though. I also know how to say, “Shoot za glass!”  Probably won’t ever get to use that one though.)

My young and handsome Marine husband sounded like my drill instructor while he yelled for me to “PUSH! PUSH!” As usual we were loud and frankly, we scared some people. Including my youngest step sister. She was around 14 at the time, and she said she never wanted to have a baby after seeing what I went through. It was an intense 2 hours of pushing while my son’s head was stuck on my pelvic bone.  I had to arch my back, and like everything else I gave it all I had and pulled my back muscles something fierce.  I was screaming, my face was swollen, everything was swollen. It was intense.
The point is, I know pain. I had this horribly difficult experience with my first child and chose to do it twice more. Then God allowed me to experience it yet twice more. None as difficult as the first, thankfully. So, pain and I are old aquaintainces.
Most recently we’ve taken it to the next level. We are constant companions. Pain never leaves my side. I pray this isn’t a forever deal. If it is, God knows what I can handle. So be it. What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.
Thank God for people who spread inspiration. In the midst of the fire they inspire us to stand tall with courage and fight for ourselves. My husband is this kind of person. He’s inspired me to push through the pain to find peace in the midst of the suffering.
September 26th, 2013 James was working as an armed security contractor and took a spill early in the morning and broke his skull. He was walking through Jump River at Caldwell Park in Redding, CA and tripped on a boulder and fell face first onto another boulder. Broke his anterior sinus, fractured his nose, broke some teeth, destroyed the cartiledge in his jaw, and created a myriad of issues. Post concussive disorder, PTSD, permanent teeth loss, cluster headaches, migraine headaches, and permanent jaw troubles. He has a couple of scars, too. Not bad considering his busted up face.
He spent more than 2 years basically in a hoody in bed. Leaving only when I drive him to his doctors appointments. This happened when my youngest (Serenity) who is now 3 1/2 years old, was 4 months from being born. I was 5 months pregnant, and the stress of the event was very difficult on this 37 year old pregnant body. Eventually I had to make the tough decision to go back to work after Serenity was born.
He eventually had to go through counseling to get himself back. Thankfully he was reminded that he had the tools to get healthy again all along, he just needed to relearn them. Retrain with them. He’s been a martial artist for over 37 years. So, it was a journey to relearn what he already knew.
Thankfully because of his accident he has been able to help me through my most painful time in life. He uses what he calls ‘slicing the pie’. Head pain is inescapable, so it’s like the old saying, “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.” This is an instance where I agree with that statement. If you can’t get rid of the pain in your head, then work your body to a point of pain that distracts you from that specific pain. It’s hard to focus on the head when the entire body is in pain. A good pain. Yes, there’s a good pain. Workout pain is a good pain. It’s still pain and at the beginning of a workout it’s very difficult to look over the pain, but if you keep working out eventually you hit a spot where your body becomes numb and it’s just you and your will to finish what you’ve started.
I’ve started slicing the pie. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it makes it worse. I’m working on finding my balance.
If I didn’t have this pain I would still be a normal person (okay normal is a stretch) working as a Banker and singing in a band. A part time mom, and full-time worker. Truly I say to you that I would rather have the pain and be able to spend this time with my family in the way we do constantly than to be where I was before all of this occurred.
His power has truly been shown through my weaknesses, so I will boast of my weaknesses proudly so that the power of Christ rests upon me. I’ll boast in my weaknesses because it’s not my strength, or my will, or my power that any of this is happening. God is in control.

I Want to be Different


Nothing is truly identical. There are even slight variations in identical twins. Although we use the word identical to describe them, because at first glance they look exactly the same, they actually aren’t carbon copies. Each of us is made absolutely unique.



Life would be extremely boring if everyone was the same. That’s one of the reasons God has blessed us with our own unique look and gifts. If you’re so different that you stand out in a crowd, then you know what it’s like. All eyes on you.

To understand faith is belief in the unseen. Billy Graham said, “I’ve never seen God, but I’ve seen the effects of God. Like, I’ve never seen the wind, but I’ve seen the effects of the wind.” 

I love that! That is absolute truth.

We believe in invisible things all day long. The cellular system we have running nowadays sends invisible radio waves which transmit into what is seen and heard by you. You can’t see them, but they’re there. Whatever you see on your screen right now traveled unseen from Kelso, WA to wherever you are.

Inside your body there are cellular networks. You can’t see unless you’re body has been scanned by machine, or laid open, but it’s all there doing what it was created to do. Keeping you alive. You can’t see emotions, until someone acts on them. But, they’re definitely there. We are made up of tiny molecules, which are unseen by the naked eye. Yet, all of it put together is what you saw in the mirror this morning when you woke up.

People who believe in the Big Bang Theory believe it because it’s a mathematical approach, and math is never wrong. We had to come from somewhere. But, where? Scientists can still only theorize and experiment. Hoping that they’ll discover something new and different by using scientific equipment, like Hadron Colliders.

Did you know that there are 30,000 accelerators in the world? Completing various tasks. Everywhere from helping improve diapers, to healing tumors in cancer patients.

The one you see above is the largest accelerated collider in the world. The goal for scientists is to send beams of protons and ions crashing into each other at faster than light speed in order for them to try to understand how the universe was created and possibly the creation of “something new.”

Make a Joyful Noise

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;
    break forth into joyous song and sing praises!”

Psalm 98:4


When I hear the word noise, I think of the Phantom Tollbooth and this song about the awful din.



A few years ago when my husband broke his skull, we were at the neurologist explaining some of his symptoms. He damaged his hearing in the fall, and because of the damage he hears constant ringing. The nurse explained that our ears are not accustomed to hearing actual silence.

Back in the day of hunter gatherers it was imperative that the human race could hear any impending threats to their household. Trying to let your body sleep in total silence strains the ears because they are unaccustomed to silence and it sends your ears and brain into panic mode. She suggested the sound of a fan, or white noise to help the ears relax.

Before the sounds of vehicles, construction sites, and all the other various noises of the world, people actually slept to the sounds of nature. Wind through the trees.  Frogs, crickets, and nocturnal creatures. If you’ve ever lived next to a body of water with frogs, the sound of their croaking can become deafening. Then something happens and all of a sudden in unison they just stop. The silence following the noise then becomes deafening.



When I sang on stage my ears would ring for hours after we finished. The blast of the amplifiers, speakers, and acoustic drum set behind me would leave this painful void for my ears to try to make sense of after it stopped. Driving home from a performance I either had to listen to music or talk a bit with the person I was riding with to allow my ears to slowly come back down from the tippy top of Mount Din. I still use noise to fall asleep. White noise, a fan, or gentle music. Something to break up the silence.

I’m more careful now than ever about the noise I make and the noise I choose to listen to. Some people would say music and making music is the one place that they can empty their minds of all other thoughts. Noise, especially music, changes our moods. Have you ever been sitting in an office or room with people where there’s no music or noise at all. It’s eery.  Inevitably my stomach always chooses the quiet times to make noise.

The popular music of the world tends to have similar themes. Me. Sex. Drugs. More sex. More about me. Money. Music. More meaningless lyrics about the perversions of the world. Celebrating boobery.

Music should draw us near to the One Who allows us to make songs. It should glorify our Lord and celebrate His LOVE.



We need to be careful the noises we allow ourselves to hear and create. Music in general has such a strong impact on our emotional, mental, and physical well-beings it should be screened, and sifted like wheat. Be careful what you hear. Be careful what you see. It molds your personality and changes the world.



I know I’ve already included some music in this blog, and maybe you don’t have time to listen to them, or maybe you do. Here are a few of my favorites at the moment.

A Prayer for the Ephesians

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,  may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

When you can’t grasp the ways of the world, reach up and grasp the hand of the Maker of the world. He’s got it all under control. Reach up in faith knowing the power of the Lord and His might.

Daily Prompt: Captivating

It’s not difficult to see what most people are captivated by. Intelligence. Bright lights. Wit. The newest technology. Music. The seductive temptress with sultry eyes. The speaker with a silver tongue. The model bouncing down the runway in a thong. The Oscars and the Award Shows with all their glitter and gowns. “Clearance” and “Sale” signs.

This world is full of eye candy to draw your attention and captivate your mind. We find ourselves singing along to music that have words we would never choose to say normally. Image result for captivating

“Don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like me, don’t you wish your girlfriend was a freak like me.” Remember singing to that one? Or how about this one, “I want your sex.” I don’t know about you, but those are not things I would normally say. And yet singing them is easy.


I sang in a cover band for 10 years. Singing songs about sex, drugs, and rock and roll. The oldies, like ZZTop’s “Tush”. Great song, I love the melody, but the words just don’t hit home for me. I am not the type of person to go looking for some booty. I’m married, I’m a mother, and I’m not a partying, booty seeking kind of person. Yet, I sang it. For many years. It was especially easy to do when I was all jacked up by the crowd. The alcohol helped loosen me up and I would just go with the flow of the music. I was making people happy. That made me happy. Except I wasn’t being myself.

I’ve promised God that if I’m able to get back on stage it will be for His purpose. I’ll sing for Him, like I always have. Although, I’m done singing songs about things I couldn’t care less about. I want to sing for my Lord and Savior. Use my gift for His glorification, not my own. I want to sing to the One who gave me my voice. Right now, silence is golden. It seems every time I break that silence, I get myself into trouble.


Evil is definitely captivating. The shock, and the awe. It draws us in and warps our minds. What’s seen can’t be unseen. What’s said can’t be unsaid. What’s heard can’t be unheard. So, how do we navigate through this world of captivating evil? Give it to God! That’s it.

Set your minds on things above. For me to get where I am today, all of the clamor had to go away. Everyone who was distracting to my growth had to be gone. I needed silence. To pray. To seek Him. To read my Bible and learn what God truly wants from me. It took a serious change in scenery, and a whole new life to draw me away from the captivating “rockstar” life I was trying on for size.

Now I find myself captivated by my Bible research, and books I haven’t read yet. I’m captivated by hearing my kids sing, and their creative art projects, and their scientific studies from school.

More than anything I’m captivated by the love that Jesus gives us every day, whether we feel worthy, ashamed, or like we don’t deserve it. I’m captivated by how love covers a multitude of sins, and how we can continuously fall short, and turn our backs on Him, and follow our fleshly desires, and yet He never leaves us or forsakes us.

I’m captivated by the beauty of this world. The critters and creatures scurrying around communicating with their little sqeeks and sounds. The clouds and how they form. The trees in all their glory, whether green, orange, purple or brown. The satisfaction in a job well done. The gathering together with delicious food and great company. The quiet chirping bird by his lonesome is more captivating to me now than the circus of the world. The sound of the doves outside the window sending love from above. These simple things in life captivate me.

All Who Meander Are not Lost

All who wander are not lost. All who meander are not lost.

We all have our own paths to walk in life. Some paths are straight forward. Some have curvy ups and downs. Some wind back and forth like a snake. Some are plunged into deep water. Some exit the atmosphere. I don’t know where my path is going to end, but I can tell you that my path has been quite the ride. Image result for winding path

I have so many wonderful memories to look back on. I’m thankful for the beautiful moments of the past. I’m thankful for the future I haven’t seen also, because I put my life in God’s hands a long time ago and He sees me through some pretty crazy stuff.

Like when Google led us through the snake-like windy road from The Albion Cove off the coast of Northern California headed to Sugarloaf Ridge outside of Santa Rosa. Twisting and turning with a suburban and trailer full of our most precious cargo. Our five kids, and 4 dogs (at the time, now 3 dogs). A trailer full of food, refrigerators, freezers, stoves, and cookware. Thanks to the advancement of technology, a map of where I wanted to go was a just a simple click away. Guiding us with her pleasant feminine voice directly to a travelers’ worst nightmare.

16% downgrade, weaving down through the contorting unknown road given to us by our boundless tech. It was like Bob’s Road or something. I’ll give this to Google, it was the shortest route. However, our brakes didn’t like constraining all the weight pushing on the Suburban. Would you like to know what happens when the brakes overheat?

The vehicle stops running. Just shuts itself right off.

The family: Emergency! Emergency! We need brakes to stop from driving off this cliff to certain death!

Suburban: Mmmyeh…..Sorry, not this time. I think I’ll just…ZzzZzzZzz


So here we are winding down a downgrade of 16%, which doesn’t seem significant until you have a couple of tons pushing your vehicle from behind with just plain ol’ gravity. Everything in the Suburban shuts down. My husband says, “I just lost the brakes!” In a panicked voice as he pumped his foot on and off of the brakes and the pedal touched the floorboard repeatedly to no avail. Panic.

Since normally I’m kind of a spazoid, I was surprised at my calm demeanor.

“E-brake.” I reminded him.

He was able to get us pulled into the next dirt driveway with a bit of a turnout. The moments when the brakes weren’t working seemed to take forever. Those few seconds, winding down that snake like narrow road, when my stomach was in my throat were absolutely terrifying. Yet, we managed to pull through, and now I have a miraculous story to share. Praise God!

I have many stories like that. I’m so glad to be one who meanders through life, even if some people don’t agree with the way I live. I would rather be wrong in the eyes of man and right in the sight of God, than vice versa.

My path isn’t straight, by far. It’s like the Superman roller coaster ride at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Terrifying yet exhilarating. Full of faith and hope in the things unseen. Sometimes life takes my breathe away in a good way. Sometimes it frightens me to the point of losing my ability to breath. I cry and scream, perhaps at others or myself, but I always cry out to the One who can save me. Jesus Christ!


 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” 

Deuteronomy 3:16


Resting in the promises of God allows meandering. It allows exploration and punching through the box, then running wild with the Spirit of God to protect you from this insane world. God isn’t containable. He’s created His children to be free.

I meander through this world of lies

Tears welling in my eyes

I’m holding Your hand

Walking the land

You’re always near

To sin the way the world is

The Bible does confirm this

Lay up treasures in heaven above

With beautiful actions of unconditional love

The world definitely needs more of that

More love and caring, and a lot less spat

Seek Him while He can still be found

Seek Him before you’re put in the ground

He’s waiting for you to turn around

He’s planning on giving you a beautiful crown

We’ll thank Him and give it right back

We’re learning how, while being attacked

Fall into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ

His love cannot ever be priced

I’ll keep praying for your heart

I see it’s torn apart

This isn’t all there is, be assured

By your faith, you can be cured

Thank You Jesus for all You are

For lessons in each and every scar

I wear my scars like badges

Jesus heals them all like magic

So, I’ll meander through this life of trouble

As the blessings in heaven are more than double

There’s so much here we don’t even see

Jesus protect us, I’m on bended knee

Come soon Lord, save us from here

Every eye will see You, every ear will hear

Until You come we’ll run this race

Until we see You face to face

Suddenly our Savior will return in the clouds for every eye to see.

What will you be doing? Will it push your heart to flee?

Don’t be caught off guard, He’s coming in a cloud

Every one will witness the destruction of the proud

They’ll hide in caves, and try to evade the One who made it all

The ones who are left behind will stumble, tumble, fall

Whether He comes in the day or night, don’t be caught off guard

Give yourself to Jesus before things get really hard

Evil lurks in the days and nights seeking for souls to devour

Keep your heart and soul sweet, don’t let your spirit sour

Jesus loves you and if you except it and take truth on your way

He’ll come and save you when you give it all away

Let’s come together in love and bow our heads in prayer

 Giving up all our worries, fears, and all our cares

“Dear Jesus come inside my heart and keep me from the devil

Your love is all I seek, and in it I will revel

Thank You for Your saving grace, I thank You for Your gift

Daily Prompt: Wonder


Life is full of it’s little wonders. I’m constantly amazed at the wonders of life that surround us, seen and unseen. Like the Holy Spirit, the connection to Christ that we have directly, and the mercy of our Father to His rebellious children. It’s wonderful that we just need to turn to Him, and He promises to draw near to us when we seek Him. The only distance created between us is established by ourselves turning away from Him.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Matthew 7:7

In this world of advancement in tech which allows people to gain access to more information in one second than we’ve ever had available to us through means of deep research, like when I was a kid.

In my childhood, before the internet. Back when computers were only beginning to be created. There was literally no internet ya’ll. None. Before Google, Bing, Yahoo and all the search engines doing the work for us popped up. Back when people used their brains to figure out the answers to math problems instead of calculators and notes during their math tests. We read books to find out the answers to our questions. We actually had to search the library catalog to find the subject we were interested in, and then we had to search all the books that were related to that subject and hope after reading or skimming through the bold print that we could find the information we were looking for.

I appreciate the ease now in researching information through tech. Old school was way too much work. However, with this upgrade in the digital spread of information we find that appreciation for this knowledge is lost. It’s just too easy to look it up, so no need to actually remember anything, just go to Google and you’ll get the answer every time.

So instead of people feeding their brains with information about things that help them live better lives, like how to cook for oneself, proper nutrition, or how to mend ones clothes or even make  clothes. How to grow a garden. Make your own soap. The how to’s of old that made people independent 100 years ago is lost. Instead they use this tool of technology to search for sex, and violence. So, the enemy wins because he’s taken societies self confidence. He’s made knowledge cheap. Lying to you telling you that you’re actually smarter because you have the information at your fingertips (soon to be a part of your body). Don’t rely on technology. Use it, and don’t let it use you.

Don’t fear technology. Concentrating on the horrible things coming from the world and advances in technology only feeds our fears. Fear is from the enemy, so I don’t watch the news. I do read news, but I sift through it.

Instead of focusing on the things out of my control going on in the world. I’m choosing to enjoy the little wonders of life. My family praying together. My kids singing for me. A song that brings back a beautiful memory of people and times no longer in my life. A delicious healthy meal eaten with family and friends. A hug. A kiss. An embrace. A back rub, a neck rub, or a foot rub from someone I love. These little wonders are what make life worth living.
